a walking path, is located in the center of the cemetery.
Benches are located throughout the cemetery, offering opportunity
for quiet reflection.
Conduct
of the Interment Service: The service is essentially
a traditional graveside service although it is held in the
committal shelter. The service consists of brief remarks
and prayer by a member of the clergy followed by military
honors. Immediately following the service, the cemetery
staff will transport the remains to the interment site.
Location
and Driving Directions: The cemetery is located
on Business Highway 13 in Higginsville, bordering the Confederate
Memorial State Park. From Interstate 70, take exit 49 north
on State Highway 13 to Higginsville. (6 miles). Continue
north on Highway 13 through Higginsville. Approximately
one mile north of Higginsville, a state highway sign will
direct you to turn right on Business Highway 13. The cemetery
will be ½ mile ahead on the left. If you are traveling
to the cemetery from the north on Highway 13, you will see
a hand-shaped sign pointing to Higginsville. Take the first
left past the sign onto Business Highway 13; the cemetery
will be ½ mile ahead on the left. For additional

Office
Hours: The cemetery office is located in the administration
building and is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am
until 4:30 pm. The office is closed on state and national
holidays. Scheduling assistance during the weekend is available
by calling 417-823-3944.
