Linda Jackson, Laundry Worker I for the Mexico Veterans Home has been selected as the Missouri Veterans Commission July 2008 Employee of the Month.

Linda was selected not only because of her excellent work in the Home’s laundry department, but also for her willingness to assist others whenever she can on a daily basis, even if it may be outside her own particular work environment. This was exemplified recently when Linda responded to a request from the nursing department to sing a veteran’s favorite hymn, “Amazing Grace”, to him before he passed away. Linda’s generosity in sharing her talent in this way to honor and comfort this veteran is testimony to the way we strive to put the veterans first and serve them however we can.
