WWII Veteran Michael Bellovich will be presented with a Congressional Gold Medal at the request of his family by Missouri Veterans Commission Director Grace Link during a brief ceremony on Thursday afternoon at the Missouri Veterans Home – St. Louis.
Bellovich served as a member of the Office of Strategic Service (predecessor of the Central Intelligence Agency) during World War II. OSS Veterans were recognized collectively with the highest civilian honor given by Congress on March 21, 2018 in Washington, D.C., but Mr. Bellovich was unable to attend the ceremony at that time.
