Missouri Veterans Commission Invites Public to Memorial Day Ceremonies at State Veterans Cemeteries
The Missouri Veterans Commission invites the public to attend Memorial Day ceremonies at its five State Veterans Cemeteries – Bloomfield, Fort Leonard Wood, Higginsville, Jacksonville, and Springfield May 26, 2014.
"Our cemeteries firmly believe in honoring in perpetuity those who paid the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country," said Larry D. Kay, Executive Director of the Missouri Veterans Commission, "I encourage everyone to attend a Memorial Day ceremony or participate in the National Moment of Remembrance at 3 pm on Memorial Day. It's the least we can do for these brave, gallant men and women.”
The events and times at the five State Veterans Cemeteries are as follows:
